ATV anchor braking system to equip the 'Pierre Bellon' vessel

The Paris tourist boats society has launched the fourth trimaran of its fleet, which now comprises 58 vessels. This tour river boat has been named 'Pierre Bellon', in tribute to the founder of the collective catering group Sodexho, that has been the owner of the society for 26 years. The 'Pierre Bellon', which can take up to 600 people to a cruise in the hearth of Paris, is equipped with an innovative regulated anchor braking system, that has been designed by ATV. This appliance, that is controlled via a joystick by the pilot of the vessel, allows a safe stop in occurence of a propulsion damage. The naval architects office 'Seine Design' has led this project in cooperation with ATV.
